Vicenza

Ho appena sentito Enzo Ciscato da Vicenza.

La tattica dei picchetti e dei blocchi sta al momento funzionando. La società fiorentina ABC, addetta alla bonifica del terreno su cui dovrebbe essere costruita la base militare, ha deciso di ritirarsi.

La notizia è confermata da un articolo del Sole 24 Ore di oggi 9 Novembre 2007 di Cesare Peruzzi, pag. 26.

Secondo Enzo ci sono possibilità, in base a quanto dichiarato dalle stesse autorità americane, che gli Americani decidano di lasciar perdere, dovesse l’ostilità della cittadinanza mostrarsi troppo forte.

Dobbiamo sperare che non sia il “nostro” stesso governo ad incitare gli Americani ad andare avanti.

E’ per questo fondamentale dare il colpo di grazia al progetto in questo mese che precede la manifestazione di metà Dicembre, che sarà decisiva.

The block and picket tactics is working at the moment. The Florence-based ABC firm, in charge of the demining of the ground destined to the new military base, has decided to give up the project.

The news has been confirmed in an article by Cesare Peruzzi, Sole 24 Ore of 9 November 2007, page 26.

In Enzo’s opinion Americans are likely to decide to give up the plan for good, should popular hostility become too strong, as U.S. authorities themselves have stated. All we can hope for now is that “our” government won’t spur the Americans to go on.

It is therefore fundamental that the coup de grace to the project is given within the month preceding the mid-December demonstration, which will be crucial.
